The USAHEC Educator's Toolbox

This toolbox is designed to support educators in their mission to inform current and future generations about United States Army history and to prepare students and educators alike for a visit to the USAHEC. To accomplish these goals, the Visitor and Education Services Division has provided resources such as a sample itinerary, lesson plans, instructions on how to use the USAHEC Collection in the classroom, access to professional workshops, and information about utilizing the USAHEC facility.

The Army's history is MORE than just "military history."

The U.S. Army's history is rich and diverse. The USAHEC is the Army's archives, with primary source holdings ranging from individual soldier's stories to the plans and outlines for entire conflicts. The "military" side of the Army's history is important, but our other materials are just as useful in your classroom. The history of medicine, technology, leadership, integration, and hundreds of other topics and themes are available to educators to enrich their classrooms.
