Regional Studies Resources: General & Global Resources

USAHEC's Academic Library Division compiled this Guide to provide selected sources of information for the Regional Study Electives.

Introduction/Purpose

Regional Studies provides students the opportunity to develop strategic empathy by conducting a deeper investigation into the history, culture, and politics of a particular region with a consideration and exploration of current political, economic, environmental and security challenges and U.S. policy objectives.

USAHEC's Academic Library Division compiled this guide to provide curated sources of information for the Regional Studies Electives at the United States Army War College. The guide is organized with a General & Global Resources page, addressing global information applicable to multiple regions and aligned with the AY24 course purpose. It is followed by pages for each region of study.
