UNCTADstatUNCTAD is a permanent intergovernmental body established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1964. Part of the UN Secretariat, UNCTAD reports to the UN General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council but has its own membership, leadership, and budget. It is also part of the United Nations Development Group.
Statistics is an inherent part of UNCTAD. As the United Nations’ focal point for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development, UNCTAD compiles, validates and processes a wide range of data collected from national and international sources.
